Note: With three NCAA titles in five years, UCLA head coach Valorie Kondos Field has positioned her Bruins as the premier program in collegiate gymnastics. Not only has she consistently recruited the top talent in the world, but she has produced the results. In the past six years alone, Kondos Field has led UCLA to three NCAA titles and one runner-up finish, five Regional titles and three Pac-10 championships.

First and foremost, THANK YOU to all of our Bruin fans that joined in the PAC-10 fun. You were AWESOME! From the first-class tailgate, replete with white plastic tables and chairs, barbeque grill, and enough food to feed a small country, to your unwavering and "unsagging" enthusiasm through a very long evening? you turned a fun meet into an AMAZING EVENT.
For all of you who have asked, Yvonne Tousek didn't compete due to the flu that hit her during our warm-ups. For Yvonne to come up to me and say, "Miss Val, I just don't think it's safe for me to compete," I knew it had to be pretty bad. She is on the mend and should be back to normal in a few days.
Congratulations to our UCLA Bruins for hitting 24-for-24 routines for the first time this season and for winning their 10th Pac-10 title.
Congratulations to Onnie Willis for being the sixth-straight Bruin to win the PAC-10 All-Around title.
Congratulations to Jamie Dantzscher for being the sixth-straight Bruin to win the PAC-10 Gymnast of the Year honor, an honor voted on by the head coaches.
And, a huge congratulations to the Arizona Wildcats and their Head Coach, Bill Ryden who was voted the PAC-10 Coach of the Year.
We head to Arizona State for the Regional Championships, the first round of NCAA's. This is how it works - you have to finish in the top two at Regionals to move on to Nationals. That means the "Amazing Event" crew needs to plan another road trip - just a little hop to the south and a little hop eastward. Tempe, Arizona awaits the arrival of the Bruins! Ready, set? RALLY!
Remember Bruins? NO OUTS! NO DOUBTS! NO EXCUSES!
