The 13th-ranked UCLA men's golf team tied for fifth place at the U.S. Collegiate Championship Sunday at The Golf Club of Georgia.
The Bruins posted a final round team score of 291 (+3) and finished the tournament with a score of 864 (E). Oklahoma State won the tournament with a 54-hole total of 849 (-15), followed by host Georgia Tech at 850 (-14). Wake Forest took third place with a score of 862 (-1) and Virginia was fourth at 863 (-1). UCLA tied with Texas A&M.
Individually, sophomore Lorens Chan was the top Bruin, tying for fourth place at four-under par 212, following a final round score of 70 (-2). Sophomore Jonathan Garrick tied for 18th at 215 (-1) after his score of 74 (+2) on Sunday. Tied for 36th at 220 (+4) was junior Manav Shah, who posted a score of even par 72, and tied for 39th at 221 (+5) was Matt Pinizzotto following a score of 79 (+7). Sophomore Jake Knapp tied for 73rd at 230 (+14) after carding a 75 (+3).
Georgia Tech's Ollie Schniederjans won individual honors with a 54-hole score of 10-under 206 after posting a 71 (-1).
