The No. 3 UCLA Men's Golf Team currently sits in second at the Pac-12 Championships as it tries to capture its sixth conference title. The Bruins, who began their hosting of the Pac-12 Championship at The Los Angeles Country Club on Monday, finished each of the day's two rounds in second, behind defending champion California.

The Bruins finished with a two-round total of 704(+4), as they found themselves once more behind the No. 1 ranked California Golden Bears and ahead of the University of Washington, who finished the day in third. The Bears, who have edged out UCLA in a number of recent tournaments, shot 695(-5) as a team to take a nine-stroke lead heading into Tuesday's third round. The #4 Huskies, who came in behind the Bruins, shot 709(+9) to finish third while #8 Stanford finished in fourth at 727(+26).

The Bruins were led over two rounds by the consistent play of freshman Jonathan Garrick, who shot 68(-2) in each of his 18-hole rounds. Garrick currently sits in a tie for 3rd overall, one spot ahead of teammate Anton Arboleda. Arboleda, who shot 69(-1) in each of his first two rounds, currently sits in fifth. Pontus Widegren started well for UCLA, shooting 68(-2) in his first 18, but a 75(+5) in the second round of the day set the senior back at 14th overall. Fellow senior Pedro Figueiredo was more consistent, shooting 72(+2) in both rounds to finish in 20th on the overall leaderboard. The final two Bruins, Jay Hwang and Manav Shah, finished T-27th and T-34th, respectively, as Hwang shot a 71(+1) and 74(+4) and Shah shot a 70(E) and a 77(+7)
