UCLA Women's Rowing Finishes 12th at NCAA Championships

The Bruins finished in the top 12 at NCAA Championships for the third consecutive season, having finished a program-best eighth in 2012 and ninth overall in 2013.
UCLA's second varsity eight finished second in the Petite Final, while the program's varsity eight crew raced to a first-place finish in the C final. UCLA's varsity four crew finished third in its C final race.
The varsity eight crossed the finish line 3.56 seconds ahead of second-place San Diego. UCLA (6:48.995) finished ahead of a heat that included San Diego, Washington State, Louisville, Wisconsin and Northeastern, respectively.
The second varsity eight raced to a second-place finish with a time of 7:05.603, just 2.605 seconds behind first-place competitor Michigan (7:02.998). This marked the third consecutive year in which at least one of UCLA's varsity eight crews finished first or second in a Petite Final race.
The varsity four boat posted a time of 7:42.908, finishing third in its six-team race. UCLA finished behind Washington State and San Diego, respectively. Louisville, Harvard and Oklahoma rounded out the final three finishers in the varsity four C final.
