UCLA posted its sixth-consecutive 197 score in a 197.175-195.900 victory at Arkansas to close the regular season. Samantha Peszek won vault and beam, earning a perfect 10 from one of the two judges on beam, and Sadiqua Bynum won floor for the fifth time this season.

"Earlier in the week, we talked about what the story of this weekend could be," said Associate Head Coach Chris Waller, who guided the Bruins with head coach Valorie Kondos Field back in Los Angeles recovering from minor surgery. "The first notion could have been that this was a huge trip across the country, we're going to hostile territory, it's finals week, and this could be overwhelming. But the team took that story and made it a different one and said this is a great opportunity to compete in the SEC, to continue to move up the rankings, and to demonstrate to the rest of the country that we're legit. And we did that."

The Bruins (11-1) led from the get-go, scoring 49.275 on their first event, bars, while the Razorbacks scored 49.15 on vault. Christine Peng-Peng Lee led the Bruin contingent on bars with a 9.9, and Danusia Francis and Peszek each added scores of 9.875. UCLA matched its bars score on vault with a 49.275. Every Bruin scored 9.8 or better, led by Peszek's meet-winning 9.925 and Sonya Meraz's stuck Yurchenko layout full vault that scored a career-high 9.85.

UCLA mixed up its floor lineup, resting Francis and Peszek. Mikaela Gerber led off with a strong routine that scored 9.825. Jennifer Pinches returned to the lineup and scored 9.75. Napualani Hall earned a career-high 9.85, Meraz scored 9.875, and Angi Cipra added a 9.825. Bynum was just as good, if not better, than last week, when she scored 9.975, but scored 9.925 to place first and total 49.3.

The Bruins closed the meet with a 49.325 on beam, led by Peszek's flawless routine that earned a meet-high 9.95, with a 10.0 from one of the two judges. Meraz's leadoff score of 9.85 tied her career-high, and the Bruins also received contributions of 9.9 from Francis, 9.85 from Sophina DeJesus and 9.775 from Jordan Williams. Another highlight came with a successful exhibition debut on beam by Alex Waller, and she was mobbed by teammates after finishing her routine.

UCLA now moves on to the postseason, competing in the Pac-12 Championships on Saturday, Mar. 21 at Utah.
