UCLA assistant men's golf coach Brandon Christianson has been hired as the new head coach of the Cal State Stanislaus men's golf program, as announced by the school.

Christianson, a 2009 graduate of UCLA, returned to his alma mater in August 2012. In three seasons on head coach Derek Freeman's staff, he helped the Bruins to back-to-back appearances in the NCAA Match Play (2014-2015), as well as a 2013 NCAA Regional title during his first campaign.

“We are excited about Brandon getting a head coaching job,” Freeman said. “He was a great assistant coach for us and will be missed. I look forward to watching his future success."

"We will begin our search immediately for our assistant coaching position. We have great tradition at UCLA and I am sure we will find the right candidate."
