Get an inside look at the life of UCLA women's soccer player Gabbi Miranda in the first episode of This Life, a new series by Bruin Films.
Miranda, a junior defender/midfielder from Highlands Ranch, Colo., talks about the Bruin team embracing a collective group leadership mentality after the graduation of a large and impactful senior class. This should come naturally for her, as her natural disposition is one of a leader. Miranda grew up looking over her younger brother Aidan, who had to overcome several obstacles after being born premature.
“Impacting lives is such an incredible thing that people get to do,” she said. “Having an impact on someone else's life has been something I've always wanted to do.”
Miranda will help mentor UCLA's large group of freshmen and sophomores as they begin the 2015 season on Friday, Aug. 21 at Long Beach State.
