LOS ANGELES – The UCLA Men's Soccer program has promoted Nick Carlin-Voigt to Associate Head Coach, it was announced today by Head Coach Jorge Salcedo. Carlin-Voigt has spent the last three seasons as Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator for the Bruins.

“From the first day that Nick joined our staff, he has added tremendous value to the UCLA soccer program,” said Salcedo. “His tireless work to spearhead our recruiting efforts has resulted in three-straight top-ranked classes. His enthusiasm and passion for our student-athletes personal and athletic well-being is personified every day. To be named our program's first Associate Head Coach is merited and well deserved.”

Entering his fourth season with UCLA, Carlin-Voigt has led the Bruins to a 39-11-13 overall record in his previous three years, including a run to the College Cup final last season. Carlin-Voigt is considered one of the best recruiters in the country and has brought in the nation's number one recruiting class each of the past three seasons (2013, 2014 & 2015). Since his arrival in 2012, 11 Bruins have been drafted into MLS, highlighted by 2014 MAC Hermann Trophy winner, Leo Stolz. An invaluable member of the staff, Carlin-Voigt has been honored as one of College Soccer News' top-15 assistant coaches in the country in each of the last two seasons (2013 & 2014).

In addition to recruiting, Carlin-Voigt is actively involved in all aspects of the UCLA soccer program, including player development, training, scouting, scheduling, soccer-specific fitness training, summer camp development and community outreach.

“I would like thank Athletic Director Dan Guerrero, Senior Associate Athletic Director Ken Weiner and the rest of the UCLA athletic administration for their incredible support of men's soccer,” continued Carlin-Voigt. “Lastly, this wouldn't be possible without the vision and leadership of head coach Jorge Salcedo who continues to push the program forward towards its full potential while constantly raising the bar for the program.”

The former All-American at Kalamazoo College has helped lead the Bruins to the NCAA Tournament in each of his three seasons in Westwood and a Pac-12 Championship in 2012. His work helped UCLA secure the number one seed in the 2013 tournament and the number two seed in 2014 tournament.
