
Bruins Win Twice In UCLA Invitational

In other matches, Loyola Marymount defeated Cal State Bakersfield, 11-10, USC beat Cal State Bakersfield, 33-5, and in the tournament finale USC beat Cal Baptist, 24-3.
The outcome of UCLA's first match was never in doubt. The Bruins led 11-2 at halftime after scoring seven goals in the second period. At the end of the third, they led 15-5. Junior India Forster, in her first start, scored four goals from the center position. All-American Rachel Fattal added three goals and senior All-American Emily Donohoe added two goals, along with sophomore Ashley Zwirner and freshman Devin Grab.
In the second game, the Bruins raced out to a 7-0 lead before the Lions got on the board. At halftime UCLA led 14-2 before empting the bench in the second half. Fattal led the goal scoring with four and Barr, Donohoe and Williams added three apiece. Kodi Hill, Kelsey O'Brien and Charlotte Pratt added two each, and Zwirner and Elissia Schilling each scored once.
The Bruins, 2-0 overall, will travel to the UC Santa Barbara Tournament next weekend for four games in two days.
