SAN JOSE, Calif., -- The top-ranked UCLA Bruins improved to 19-0 on the year and 3-0 in the MPSF with a dominant 10-0 win at league newcomer San Jose State (2-15, 0-3) on Sunday afternoon at SJSU's Avery Aquatic Center. The win marked the Bruins' 22nd-straight win, dating back to last year, which is the third-longest winning streak in school history.

UCLA was led by a trio of players with two goals, including junior Ryder Roberts, sophomore Jack Grover and redshirt freshman Austin Rone. Freshman Alex Wolf had a career-high 16 saves in the cage for UCLA. UCLA improved to 9-1 all-time against San Jose State.

Junior Chancellor Ramirez scored the only goal of the first period, a counter attack score at the 6:43 mark. UCLA, which was stellar against Stanford yesterday on its 6-on-5 opportunities, struggled today. The Bruins went 0-for-3 on power plays in the first period.

Another defensive-minded period followed as UCLA put two more goals on the board to lead 3-0 at the break. Rone scored on a counter (7:03) followed by a power play goal from Roberts (0:04) to end the scoring in the second. The Bruins went 1-for-4 on power plays in the second.

UCLA continued its solid effort on defense in the third and got a little more productive on offense to outscore the Spartans 4-0 in the period. The Bruins started out with back-to-back power play goals by Roberts (7:18) and sophomore Max Irving (2:35). Rone scored his second of the match on a counter (0:33) and senior Anthony Daboub finished off a nice drive with his only score of the day with just two seconds left on the clock. UCLA was 2-for-3 on 6-on-5 opportunities in the third.

The Bruins won the final stanza 3-0 to provide the 10-0 final. Freshman Spencer Farrar scored an exclusion goal (4:50) and Grover scored his two goals from the front court (3:19, 2:27) to end the scoring.

Wolf played all four periods in the cage for UCLA making a previously mentioned career-high 16 saves, while pitching a shutout and registering two assists and one steal. Matej Matijevic was credited with 12 saves for San Jose State.

UCLA went 4-for-13 on power plays while the Spartans went 0-for-4. Both teams went 0-for-1 on penalty shots.

The Bruins return to action next Saturday, Oct. 24 on the Pac-12 Networks at 10:30 a.m. when they host No. 3 California (16-3).
