FOUR-MATCH TRIP BEGINS IN BEAVER STATE
The 10th-ranked Bruins head one state north this weekend to take on #25 Oregon on Friday at 6 p.m. and Oregon State on Sunday at 12 p.m. Friday's match will air on Pac-12 Networks, while Sunday's contest will have a live video feed on UCLABruins.com. Live stats will also be available for both matches.

BRUINS IN THE POLLS
For the seventh straight week, the Bruins gained points in the AVCA rankings and improved two spots to 10th in this week's poll. UCLA received 103 additional points this week, and since coming in at 25th with just 88 points after the opening weekend, has jumped up 15 spots and gained 939 points in the last seven polls. UCLA is one of seven Pac-12 teams ranked inside the Top 25 (#1 USC, #4 Washington, #11 Stanford, #13 Arizona State, #14 Arizona and #25 Oregon), with Colorado also receiving votes (T-28th most). Other ranked or receiving votes teams on the Bruins' schedule include #8 Hawai'i, #26 San Diego, #27 Ohio, #28 SMU and #30 Long Beach State.
BRUINS IN THE NATIONAL RANKINGS
The Bruins rank in the Top 40 nationally in three statistical categories, coming into the week at 10th in kills per set (14.43), 11th in assists per set (13.53) and 39th in blocks per set (2.55). Individually, junior Jordan Anderson is fifth in kps (4.91), 11th in points per set (5.22) and 17th in attacks per set (11.97), while junior Claire Felix is 29th in hitting percentage (.398).
BRUINS IN THE PAC-12 RANKINGS
UCLA comes into this week's action ranked second among conference teams in assists per set (13.53) and kills per set (14.43), third in digs per set (15.81), fourth in hitting percentage (.249), fifth in opponent hitting percentage (.172) and service aces per set (1.14) and sixth in blocks per set (2.55). Junior Jordan Anderson is second in kps (4.91) and points per set (5.22), while redshirt sophomore Ryann Chandler (10.23) and freshman Zana Muno (9.13) are fourth and eighth, respectively, in assists per set. Junior Claire Felix is third in hitting (.398), junior Taylor Formico is seventh in dps (3.93) and junior Jennie Frager is eighth in bps (1.21). In Pac-12-only matches, Chandler leads the league with 11.96 aps, Frager (.426) and Felix (.394) are second and fourth, respectively, in hitting and Anderson is second in kps (5.20) and pps (5.36).
NEWS AND NOTES
The Bruins posted season bests in hitting percentage in back-to-back contests against Colorado (.343) on Oct. 11 and Arizona (.373) on Oct. 16 and have won 61 straight matches when hitting .300 or better. UCLA has surpassed the .300 mark five times this season (Iowa-.305-Sept. 5, UC Irvine-.317-Sept. 18 and California-.337-Sept. 27) ... over the last two seasons, the Bruins are 35-0 (14-0 this year) when leading the hitting percentage battle ... all 15 UCLA victories have come when hitting .213 or better, while each of the three losses have come when the hitting percentage was .110 or below ... the Bruins have held their opponents at a .202 hitting percentage or lower in 15 of their 16 victories ... UCLA is 11-0 in matches away from Westwood this season (7-0 on the road, 4-0 at neutral sites) ... junior Jordan Anderson has double figures in kills in seven straight matches and leads the team with 17 double-figure kills contests. Anderson has five matches this season with at least 20 kills and surpassed the 1,000-kill mark on Sept. 13 at UC Santa Barbara. Anderson, who had 889 kills in two seasons at West Virginia, leads the Bruins with 285 and has 1,174 for her career ... sophomore Reily Buechler posted her first career match with zero hitting errors against Arizona last Friday when she had 16 kills in 31 attempts for a .516 percentage. Buechler has 11 double-figure kills matches this season and at least eight kills in 15 of 18 contests ... redshirt junior Haley Lawless has at least five kills in 11 of her last 13 matches. She set a new career high with 15 at Long Beach State on Sept. 18 ... senior Karly Drolson has at least six digs in four straight contests, posting seven against Arizona State on Sunday. She had a season-best two aces at Colorado on Oct. 11 ... junior Claire Felix has not committed a hitting error in three straight matches, recording 21 kills in 38 attempts (.553). She has posted at least four kills and one or no errors in 10 contests, and also has six matches with at least five blocks ... junior Jennie Frager set career bests in kills (12) and hitting percentage (.706) against Arizona State, committing no errors in 17 attempts. The team leader in bps (1.21) is averaging 2.38 kills per set over her last four matches with a .481 hitting percentage ... junior Taylor Formico has 15 double-figure digs matches, including seven in a row, and at least eight in every contest. The team leader in dps (3.93) also has an ace in 10 matches and produced 12 assists in a pair of wins last weekend ... senior Rachel Inouye has five double-figure digs matches, producing at least four in all but one contest this season. She set a new career high with three service aces against Washington State on Oct. 4 and is third on the squad with 10 ... redshirt sophomore Ryann Chandler has started the last six matches and is averaging 12.84 assists and 2.58 digs per set during that stretch. She posted her third double-double of the season with 43 assists and a season-best 14 digs against ASU.
SCOUTING THE OREGON DUCKS
Oregon (10-7, 4-4 Pac-12) has gone 1-1 in each of the last four weekends. The Ducks just ended a four-match road swing in which they beat California and Washington State, but lost to ranked teams Stanford and Washington. Oregon is averaging 13.73 kills, 1.08 aces, 14.67 digs and 2.06 blocks per set, hitting .245 as a team. Senior Martenne Bettendorf is one of three Ducks averaging over 2.00 kps, posting a team-best 3.54. Freshman Lindsey Vander Weide is second at 3.32 kps, while sophomore Taylor Agost is third (2.75). Sophomore Maggie Scott quarterbacks the offense and is averaging 10.94 assists per set to go with a team-best 17 service aces. Junior Amanda Benson is tops on the squad with 4.41 dps, while junior Kacey Nady is first at 0.91 bps.
SERIES HISTORY: BRUINS VS. DUCKS
UCLA leads the all-time series against Oregon 52-10, as the teams split the two meetings last season. The Bruins beat the Ducks in Santa Monica in four sets on Oct. 15, while the Ducks swept the Bruins in Eugene on Nov. 21. Oregon has won five of the last six meetings in the series. UCLA is 21-8 all-time in Eugene, last winning there in 2010 (3-1).
SCOUTING THE OREGON STATE BEAVERS
Oregon State (4-14, 2-6 Pac-12) has dropped four of its last five matches, including a pair at Washington and Washington State last weekend. The Beavers are averaging 11.52 kills, 0.98 aces, 13.33 digs and 2.25 blocks per set, hitting .175 as a team. Oregon State has three players averaging at least 2.00 kps, led by sophomore Mary-Kate Marshall's 3.94. Marshall, who is also first with 15 aces, is followed by redshirt junior Katelyn Driscoll (2.43 kps) and junior Lila Toner (2.06). Redshirt junior Dana Backlund (8.48 assists per set) and redshirt freshman McKenna Hollingsworth (8.42) split the setting duties. Freshman Kayla Ellis is first in dps at 2.65, while redshirt senior Haley Clarke leads the squad with 1.05 bps.
SERIES HISTORY: BRUINS VS. BEAVERS
UCLA leads the all-time series with Oregon State 55-3 and has won 14 straight matches. The Bruins, who are 27-1 in Corvallis, won in five sets in Santa Monica last Oct. 17 and in four at OSU last Nov. 22. Oregon State's last win versus UCLA was in Westwood in 2007 (3-2), while its lone victory in Corvallis against the Bruins was in 2001 (3-1).
