Sell Advances to Final at LATC

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- The So Cal Intercollegiate Championships is set for a cross-town showdown, as No. 3 Karue Sell and No. 1 Max de Vroome advance to Sunday's singles final. The two will face off at 11:00 a.m. PST at the Los Angeles Tennis Center.
In Saturday's semifinal matches, Sell defeated teammate Logan Staggs in straights while de Vroome downed fellow Trojan Rob Bellamy, 6-0, 6-4. Sell has not dropped a set the entire tournament.
This will be the second-straight Bruin-Trojan matchup in a singles final. Last time out for the Bruins, Martin Redlicki defeated USC's Logan Smith to capture the singles title at the 2015 USTA/ITA Southwest Regional Championship. With the win, Redlicki was awarded direct acceptance into the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships next month in Flushing, N.Y.
