Bruins MVB Tops USC and CSUN

The men's volleyball team captured a pair of wins in action on Saturday at the annual SAC pre- season tournament at UCLA.The Bruins opened up the day with a 3-1 win over Cal State Northridge. Scores of the match were 25-18, 23-25, 25-18, 26-24.
UCLA then aced USC in three straight sets. Scores were 26-24, 25-22, 25-14.
The Bruins will open the new season in January with a home exhibition contest on Jan. 3 against the University of British Columbia before heading off to open the regular season with a match at George Mason (Jan. 5). The Bruins will then head north to take part in the Penn State Tournament on Jan. 7 and 8 with matches vs. Ohio State and Penn State. The first home match of the season is on Jan. 23 versus USC.
