No. 17 UCLA Rowing Finishes Second in Oregon

UCLA's varsity eight posted a time of 6:42.79, finishing behind Washington State (6:36.36) and ahead of Oregon State (6:52.63).
The Bruins' second varsity eight clocked a time of 6:51.32, with Washington State winning the race in 6:46.38. Oregon State finished behind the Cougars and Bruins, respectively, at 6:59.52.
UCLA's varsity four posted a time of 7:42.75, crossing the finish line behind Washington State (7:32.34) and ahead of Oregon State (8:07.06).
In addition, UCLA raced one third varsity eight, which registered a time of 6:59.89, crossing the finish line just over three seconds behind first-place Washington State (6:56.80). UCLA's crew finished ahead of Oregon State (7:09.22) and Oregon (7:16.55).
UCLA returns to action at the Pacific Coast Rowing Championships and Pac-12 Championships in two weeks. The Pacific Coast Rowing Championships will take place Saturday, May 16, with the season-culminating Pac-12 Championships on Sunday, May 17.
