LINCOLN, Neb. - UCLA All-American and 2011 National Champion Karsta Lowe and the U.S. Women's National Team earned a berth in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on Saturday after defeating the Dominican Republic in three sets at Pinnacle Bank Arena to conclude the NORCECA Olympic Qualification Tournament.

The United States finished the tournament with a perfect 3-0 record, giving them wins in six of its last seven tournaments. They defeated Canada on Thursday (Jan. 7) in three sets and Puerto Rico on Friday (Jan. 8) in four sets.

Lowe came off the bench in all 10 sets, posting 22 kills and no hitting errors in 30 attempts for a .733 hitting percentage. She also had 10 digs and four blocks. 

Lowe produced 10 kills and no errors in 15 attempts with four digs versus Canada. On the other side of the net of Lowe was fellow All-American and 2011 National Champion Tabi Love for Team Canada. Love had six kills, five digs and two blocks. Canada finished the tournament at 0-3.

Lowe totaled eight kills and no errors in 11 attempts with two blocks and a dig against Puerto Rico. She was a perfect 4-for-4 with four digs in the final match versus the Dominican Republic.
