LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The 2016 ITA Kick-Off Weekend begins at college campuses throughout the country this Friday.  UCLA's Los Angeles Tennis Center will serve as a dual-site for both men's and women's competition.  The competition serves as a qualifying event for the USTA/ITA National Team Indoor Championships, which take place next month. 

Women's Competition

No. 34 Arkansas and No. 54 Fresno State will get the action started at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.  Following the morning match, the No. 9 UCLA women's tennis team opens its dual-match campaign against No. 70 UC Irvine at 1:00 p.m.  On Saturday, the Indoor qualifier will take place at 3:00 p.m., followed by the consolation match at 6:00 p.m.   

Men's Competition

Action begins at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday when No. 42 Georgia Tech battles No. 62 New Mexico.  Fresh off a 7-0 shutout in its season opener against USF on Wednesday, the No. 12 UCLA men's tennis team will face No. 46 SMU at 12:00 p.m.  Saturday's winners will square off at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, with the victor advancing to the USTA/ITA National Team Indoor Championships.  The losing teams will play in the consolation match Sunday morning at 10:00.
