Sophomore diver Maria Polyakova (Penza, Russia) of the UCLA women's swimming & diving team was named the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for Jan. 11-17.

Polyakova, the Pac-12 Diver of the Month for November and December, posted a season-best 321.85 in the 1-meter final at the Bruin Diving Invitational last weekend. The Bruin sophomore then went on to post a season-best 328.95 in the 3-meter final to claim the top spot. With her sweep of the springboard events last weekend, Polyakova is 11-for-12 on the boards and has not dropped a 3-meter event since the season began in October.

This is Polyakova's first UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and of her career.
