UCLA heads to Arkansas to compete at the Razorback Invitational

LOS ANGELES – The UCLA track and field team will head to Fayetteville, Ark., to compete against some of the top talent in the country at the Razorback Invitational. The two-day meet will begin on Friday, Jan. 29 and be held in the Randal Tyson Track Center.

Live streaming will be available on Jan. 29 on the SEC Network +  at 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. PT. The meet will be broadcast live on Jan. 30 on the SEC Network at 10:30 a.m. to approximately 2:30 p.m. PT.

The meet will showcase six of the top 10 teams in the country on the men's side and five of the top six teams in the women's competition.

UCLA returns after a week away from competition for the majority of the squad. The Bruins opened the season at the Lumberjack Team Challenge in Flagstaff, Ariz., where they earned eight individual victories.

Entering the weekend on the young season, senior Nicholas Scarvelis leads the Bruins by ranking second in the country in the shot put with a personal best toss of 66-9.75. Sophomore Braheme Days follows in 15th with a throw of 60-6.50. On the women's side in the shot put junior Torie Owers ranks 10th with a mark of 54-10.

UCLA will take another long trip next weekend when they head to Lincoln, Neb., to compete at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational. The two-day meet will begin on Friday, Feb. 5.
