LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Fresh off a 6-1 victory over No. 47 Saint Mary's, the No. 21 UCLA women's tennis team returns to action on Sunday when it hosts No. 26 Northwestern.  The tilt marks the beginning of a seven-match stretch at home for the Bruins (2-1).      

In doubles play against the Gaels last week, seniors Catherine Harrison and Kyle McPhillips downed their opponents 6-3.  Shortly after, sophomores Terri Fleming and Maia Magill clinched the doubles point on court 2 with a 6-4 victory. 

In singles play, Saint Mary's quickly responded with a straight-set win on court 6 to put a point on the board.  The tie was short-lived, however, as UCLA responded with wins on courts 1, 5, and 2 to take the match. 

Last time out, Northwestern fell to No. 14 Duke.  Despite an early 2-0 lead, the 'Cats were unable to keep the Blue Devils at bay as Duke narrowly edged Northwestern 4-3.
