Senior Louise Ridderström (Stockholm, Sweden) of the UCLA women's golf team was named the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for Feb. 29-Mar. 6.

Ridderström shot a blistering 5-under par 67 in her final round to force a playoff and eventually win the 2016 Bruin Wave Invitational. Ridderström defeated teammate Bronte Law on the second extra hole with a great up-and-down from the bunker to claim her first collegiate victory. As a team, the Bruins were victorious in the team competition by 14 shots. Ridderström entered the final round five shots back of the overnight leader, teammate Lilia Vu. She made birdies on the first and eighth holes and then continued her great round with birdies on the 10th and 11th. A birdie on #14 got her into a share of the lead before she dropped a shot at #17. But the senior came right back at the home hole to drain a 15-footer and get in the clubhouse at 3-under 213. After Ridderström and Law each parred the first hole, the Bruin senior was able to get the win thanks to her great bunker shot and clutch putt to par the second playoff hole.

This is Ridderström's first UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and of her career.
