BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The second-ranked UCLA women's water polo team is back in action this weekend when it plays No. 24 CSU Bakersfield on Sunday.  The game takes place at 1 p.m. PT at the Hillman Aquatics Complex. 

Last time out, the Bruins (15-2) went 4-0 at the Wolverine Invite in Ann Arbor, Mich.  On day one, UCLA presented a well-balanced attack in its matches against then No. 15 LMU and George Washington.  Eleven different Bruins found the back of the net against the Lions, led by freshman Lizette Rozeboom with a hat trick.  Later that day, 13 Bruins scored in the 22-5 rout of the Colonials.  Rozeboom led the charge with a season- and team-high seven goals.  Dominating on both ends of the pool, UCLA forced 21 turnovers, tallied 11 steals, and held the Colonials to a 25 percent shooting average.

UCLA closed out the weekend with two solid wins against then No. 5 Michigan and Bucknell.  In a defensive showdown with the Wolverines, UCLA registered nine goals on 25 shots while holding Michigan to five on 21 shots.  In the Bruins' final outing of the weekend, they steamrolled Bucknell with an explosive offensive effort.  UCLA notched 20 goals on 29 shots for a 0.69 shot percentage. 

Last time out, CSUB (11-11) posted a 16-4 victory over Redlands.  The Roadrunners travel to Fresno to play Fresno Pacific and Cal State Monterey Bay on Saturday before returning home to host UCLA on Sunday.
