LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The fifth-ranked UCLA men's tennis team begins a three-match stretch on the road in Las Vegas when it plays UNLV on Tuesday.  The match takes place at noon at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.

The Bruins (11-2) are on a four-match win streak since their return from the ITA Division I National Men's Team Indoor Championship in Charlottesville, Va.  After blanking UC Irvine at home on Feb. 20, UCLA downed three ranked teams—No. 29 Stanford on the road (Feb. 27), followed by No. 12 Southern California (Mar. 1) and No. 55 Brigham Young at home. 

Ninth-ranked Mackenzie McDonald leads the Bruins with a 7-1 record at the top of the lineup.  The junior is 6-1 against ranked opponents this spring—his only loss at the hands of Virginia's Ryan Shane, ranked 11th at the time.  Sharing time at Nos. 2 and 3, Martin Redlicki and Gage Brymer have recorded 8-3 and 8-5 dual-match marks, respectively.  Karue Sell boasts an unblemished record in dual matches—4-0 at No. 3 and 8-0 and No. 4.  The senior is also undefeated against ranked opponents this spring.     

Joining McDonald in the ITA singles rankings are No. 57 Redlicki, No. 72 Brymer, and No. 93 Sell.  In doubles, McDonald and Redlicki check in at No. 4.     

Scouting the Rebels

Last time out, UNLV (5-5) returned from Utah with a 4-3 loss to BYU.  The Rebels came out strong, clinching the doubles point.  In singles, the Rebels kept the score close; however, the Cougars recorded two straight-set wins and then rallied for victories at the top and bottom of the lineup.  The Cougars took the only three-setter of the day to clinch the match.
