Junior Bronte Law (Stockport, England) of the UCLA women's golf team was named the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for Apr. 4-10.
Law, the top-ranked college player in the Golfweek rankings, posted her second victory of the season and fifth of her career, as UCLA won the PING/ASU Invitational by six strokes. UCLA shot a 4-under 284 on the final day to finish the 54-hole tournament at a season-best 12-under 852, besting Arizona State by half a dozen shots. It was the Bruins fourth win of the year (Nanea Pac-12 Preview, Bruin Wave Invitational, Liz Murphy Collegiate Classic stroke play). Law completed her trip around the ASU Karsten Golf Course with a 3-under 69 on Sunday to finish at a season-best, 12-under 204 (PING/ASU tournament record). Her other win this season came at the Stanford Intercollegiate in October, as she has finished first, second and T-4 twice in four of her last five tournaments.
This is Law's first UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and second of her career.
