LOS ANGELES – The highly anticipated dual meet on the oval between rivals UCLA and USC will take place on Sunday, May 1, at Drake Stadium from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. The meet will be televised live on the Pac-12 Networks from 2-4 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online or at the box office for $8 for adults and $5 for youth.

The Trojans edged the Bruins in the men's competition last season at USC, 82-81 while the UCLA women fell, 93-70. In the last meeting on Drake, the UCLA men won 89-74 while the women were downed 95-68.

Overall USC leads the series on the men's side, 43-39, while UCLA holds a commanding lead in the women's competition, 22-10.

In the latest Track & Field News Collegiate Dual Meet Rankings the UCLA men are seventh while USC is 10^th. In the women's rankings UCLA checks in at third overall while the USC women are seventh.

The 1966 NCAA Champion UCLA men's track team will be recognized for their 50^th anniversary. Coincidentally the 1966 squad was the first to beat USC in a dual meet. Sunday will also serve as Senior Day.

The UCLA men's track and field team moved up to No. 16 in the most recent USTFCCCA computer rankings. The Bruins enter the week with nine marks in the top 25 in the country.

Senior Nicholas Scarvelis paces the Bruins with the No. 1 throw in the shot put in the country. Scarvelis extended his national lead with an Olympic qualifying mark of 67-7.50 at the Triton Invitational this past weekend. On top of the shot put, the Santa Barbara native holds the 16^th best throw in the discus at 192-10.

Also soaring up in the rankings this past weekend in San Diego was sophomore Braheme Days. Days launched a huge personal best in the shot put of 66-3.75 to now rank third in the country and move to sixth on the UCLA all-time list.

The UCLA shot put prowess doesn't end there as freshman Dotun Ogundeji ranks 20^th in the nation with a throw of 61-8.25. On the women's side junior Torie Owers holds at No. 4 with a lifetime best throw of 57-5 while freshman Stamatia Scarvelis is 17^th with a mark of 54-11.50.

Senior Kylie Price remains in the top-10 in the long jump with her leap of 21-4.75 while the 4x100m relay that she anchors ranks 17^th with a time of 43.91.

In the dual against Texas A&M senior Nick Hartle clocked a lifetime best of 1:46.73 to rank 10^th in the country.

The Bruins will wrap up the regular season on Saturday, May 7 at the Occidental Invitational. UCLA starts the postseason at the Pac-12 Championships for the multis also on May 7.
