ANGUS, United Kingdom - Bruin alums Scott McCarron and Brandt Jobe each posted top 10 finishes at this weekend's Senior Open Championship at Carnoustie. McCarron was solo second at 9-under (279), finishing two shots back of winner Paul Broadhurst.
McCarron, who picked up his first PGA TOUR Champions win this June at the Principal Charity Classic, is ranked fourth in the yearly Charles Schwab Cup standings. In 13 events, he has four top 10s, including his first- and second-place showings, having made the cut in all 13 of his tournaments.
Jobe tied for fifth, finishing at 7-under (281), firing a closing-round 66. It was Jobe's third top five showing at a PGA TOUR Champions major this season after placing T-3 at the Senior PGA Championship and fourth at the SENIOR PLAYERS Championship.
Duffy Waldorf, who is seventh in the Schwab Cup standings, tied for 23rd, while Tom Pernice, who is 29th in the Schwab standings, tied for 36th.
