CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - Senior Louise Ridderström has been named an All-American Scholar, as announced by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA). The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics, which includes maintaining a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50.
Ridderström bookends her career as a two-time WGCA All-American Scholar, also earning the award as a freshman in 2013. She received Pac-12 All-Academic honors in each of the three years she was eligible, picking up Honorable Mention accolades as a sophomore and junior before moving up to the Second Team this season.
On the course this past season, Ridderström had two stroke-play wins, four top 10s and five top 20s. She went back-to-back with her two victories, claiming the Bruin Wave Invitational thanks to a final-round, 5-under 67, and the single-round, stroke-play event of the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic (-4, 68). The senior had six rounds under par and three under 70.
