SAN MARTIN, Calif. - Seven Bruin alums are in Northern California this weekend as they take part in the 2016 U.S. Women's Open at the CordeValle Golf Club. Representing the blue and gold are Alison Lee, Lee Lopez, Mo Martin, Sydnee Michaels, Ryann O'Toole, Jane Park and Mariajo Uribe.
Martin is 30th in this year's Race to CME Globe standings and 49th in the Rolex World rankings. She has six career top 10s, having won the 2014 RICOH Women's British Open. Her top showing this season on the LPGA Tour was a T-7 at the LOTTE Championship. O'Toole ranks 36th in the Race to the CME Globe and 71st in the world. She has four career top 10s, with two of them coming this season at the Yokohama Tire LPGA Classic (T-6) and the JTBC Founders Cup (T-9). Uribe, who is 97th in the world and 74th in the CME rankings, is coming into the U.S. Women's Open after a great finish last weekend at the Cambia Portland Classic, when she tied for fourth. It was the 12th top 10 of her career.
Lopez, a 2016 Tour rookie, is 79th in the Race to CME Globe. She is coming off her best finish of the season after tying for sixth at last week's Cambia Portland Classic. Lee is currently 35th in the world and 94th in the Race to CME Globe. The owner of seven career top 10s, she has one this season on the LPGA Tour at the COATES Golf Championship. Michaels (Rolex 119, CME 98) has five career top 10s, recording a tie for eighth two tournaments back at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship. Park (122 Rolex, 101 CME) has 11 career top 10s, with her best showing in 2016 coming at the Pure Silk-Bahamas LPGA Classic (T-17).
