Men's Water Polo
The U.S. Olympic Men's Water Polo Team earned its first win in Rio with a 6-3 victory over France. Bruin alumnus Josh Samuels had his best outing, leading Team USA with three goals and two assists while winning two sprints. He was 3-for-5 on his shots and played 19:40 while registering one steal and one field block. UCLA junior Alex Roelse came off the bench to play 9:54. Team USA improved to 1-2 in Group B action, with Montenegro coming up on Friday, Aug. 12. The match will air on NBC at 10:40am PT and stream live on NBCOlympics.com and NBC Sports App at 7:40am PT.

Women's Volleyball
Team USA women's volleyball, under the tutelage of Karch Kiraly, became the first team to book a trip to the quarterfinals with a four-set victory over Serbia on Wednesday. Karsta Lowe appeared in all four sets, producing four kills, including three in the final set. The U.S. still has two pool play matches left, with the next one coming on Friday at 11 am PT against Italy.

Women's Basketball
Bruin alumna Nirra Fields and ninth-ranked Team Canada continued its undefeated run in the Olympics (3-0), defeating Senegal, 68-58. Fields came off the bench to play 11:07, tallying two rebounds, two assists, one point and one steal. The Canadians continue Pool B play on Friday, Aug. 12 when they take on top-ranked United States (3-0) at 11:30am PT.
