UCLA Athletics, in partnership with LA2024 – the bid committee chaired by UCLA's own Casey Wasserman dedicated to bringing the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games to Los Angeles – will host a reunion for UCLA Olympians on Sept. 23 and 24.

All former, current and future UCLA student-athletes who have competed in the Olympics – over 400 in all – have been invited to the UCLA Olympian Reunion weekend. The reunion will kick off on the evening of Friday, Sept. 23 with a private dinner and cocktail reception, hosted by UCLA Athletic Director Dan Guerrero and Wasserman at a private home in Brentwood.

The UCLA Olympians will also be invited to attend the Sept. 24 UCLA-Stanford football game at the Rose Bowl, join the THEN NOW FOREVER tailgate and be publicly recognized on the field at halftime.

In UCLA's storied history, 424 Bruins in all have combined to make 687 Olympic appearances. UCLA, which was founded in 1919, has had at least one competitor at every Olympic Games since 1920 with one exception (1924), and at least one Bruin has won a gold medal in every Olympics in which the U.S. has competed since 1932.

Last month, UCLA had 36 representatives at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio. Eight Bruins came home with a total of nine medals, including current student-athletes Madison Kocian from gymnastics (1 gold, 1 silver), Rachel Fattal and Maddie Musselman from women's water polo (gold) and Jessie Fleming from women's soccer (bronze).
