#20 UCLA TRAVELS TO #16 OREGON AND OREGON STATE
The 20th-ranked Bruins conclude a four matches in eight days stretch when they face #16 Oregon on Wednesday at 7 p.m. and Oregon State on Friday at 6 p.m. The UCLA-UO match will air on Pac-12 National and Los Angeles, while the UCLA-OSU contest will be televised on Pac-12 Los Angeles.

WHAT'S NEXT
The Bruins host the Bay Area schools next weekend to open up a four-match homestand. UCLA will entertain #12 Stanford on Friday, Oct. 21 at 8 p.m. at Pauley Pavilion in a match which will air on Pac-12 Los Angeles. On Sunday, Oct. 23, the Bruins venture down Bruin Walk to the John Wooden Center where they will face California at 12 p.m. The UCLA-Cal contest will feature free live video, while both matches next week will have free live audio on UCLABruins.com.

BRUINS IN THE POLLS
The Bruins are 20th in this week's AVCA Top 25 Coaches poll, falling two spots. Seven Bruin opponents are in the Top 25 (#5 San Diego, #7 Washington, #12 Stanford, #13 Washington State, #16 Oregon, #17 Hawai'i and #21 Utah), while Arizona, Colorado and USC are the next three teams just outside of the Top 25.

CLIMBING THE CHARTS
Senior Taylor Formico continues to climb up the UCLA career charts in digs. She has 1,319 as a Bruin, putting her in fourth place. Next up on the list is Samantha Shaver, who is third with 1,405. Formico's career total is now at 2,111 (792 at UCSB in 2012) ... senior Jordan Anderson's 3.99 kills per set would rank her fifth in Bruin history ... junior Reily Buechler is 81 kills away from becoming the 28th Bruin to reach the 1,000-kill mark ... senior Claire Felix's .337 hitting percentage currently ranks sixth in school history.

TEAM NOTES
UCLA started its season at 7-0, its best start since 2006 when it began with 20 consecutive victories. The previous two times the Bruins opened a year with at least six straight wins, they have reached the third weekend of the NCAA Tournament (2006 - National Semifinals; 2011 - National Champions) ... Sunday against Arizona marked the first time this season that the Bruins lost when holding their opponent under a .200 hitting percentage (11-1 record) ... the Arizona loss was also the first time the Bruins were defeated when losing the hitting battle (12-1) and dropping the second set (10-1) ... UCLA is 9-0 when either leading or tying its opponent in blocks ... the Bruins are undefeated in three-set matches (6-0), but winless in five sets (0-2).

PLAYER NOTES
Senior Jordan Anderson has double figures in kills in 13 of her last 14, seeing her streak of 12 in a row snapped with a nine-kill effort against Arizona State last Friday. She had 12 kills and five digs versus Arizona on Sunday. Anderson's season high in kills is 17 against Pacific (Sept. 1) and San Diego (Sept. 10) ... junior Reily Buechler posted the second double-figure kill, error-free match of her career against ASU when she had 12 kills in 21 attempts for a .571 hitting percentage. Her first such match came against Arizona last Oct. 16 (16 kills/31 attempts/.516). Buechler has at least five kills in every match and 11 double-figure kills contests ... freshman Torrey Van Winden has at least five kills in all 10 of her matches, producing 2.47 per set. She has double figures in half of her contests, including a season-best 16 against Arizona. Van Winden also had a season-high seven digs and tied a season best with four blocks versus the Wildcats ... freshman Kylie Miller posted the second double-double of her career when she went for 23 assists and 12 digs against Arizona. Her season high in assists came versus Washington State (Sept. 23) when she had 35, while her best in digs was at Colorado (13) on Oct. 2. Miller also has five aces in her last six, including two against Arizona ... sophomore Zana Muno notched her eighth double-figure digs match against Arizona when she posted a dozen. Her career high came at Long Beach State on Sept. 14 when she had 22. She also has 13 blocks in her last six, including a career-best five at USC ... senior Claire Felix was error-free against Arizona with eight kills in 22 attempts (.364). She has four double-figure kills matches, including 16 against LBSU and WSU. Defensively, Felix has seven matches with at least four blocks and tied a career high with seven digs versus WSU ... senior Jennie Frager had a streak of five straight matches with double figures in kills snapped at Colorado, but she averaged 2.80 kps from Sept. 13-30 with a .356 hitting percentage. She tied a career high with 14 kills against WSU. Defensively, Frager has at least four blocks on 11 occasions ... senior Taylor Formico set a new UCLA career high with 36 digs against Arizona. Her two highest dig totals as a Bruin have come versus the Wildcats (35 last Nov.). Formico, who has double figures in digs in all 16 matches this season, 38 in a row dating back to last year and 104 in her career, also piled up 15 assists in two contests last weekend and has one ace in six of her last 10 matches ... junior Ryann Chandler took over the team lead in double-doubles when she recorded her seventh against Arizona (26 assists/10 digs). She has double-doubles in three of her last four. Chandler also tied a career high with three aces versus Arizona State, as she has five in her last four and has the team lead with 10 ... freshman Savvy Simo produced nine digs against Arizona and five versus ASU in last week's matches. She has six double-figure digs matches, with a season-high 13 against Pacific and Hawai'i.

BRUINS IN THE NATIONAL AND PAC-12 RANKINGS
UCLA is one of only three teams in the country which is ranked in the Top 20 nationally in four statistical categories (through Oct. 9 matches), joining #2 Nebraska and #3 Minnesota. The Bruins are fourth in digs per set (18.12), 11th in assists per set (13.43), 15th in kills per set (14.33) and 16th in opponent hitting percentage (.152), also coming in at 48th in blocks per set (2.47). Individually, senior Taylor Formico is 45th in dps (4.88). As far as conference teams go, the Bruins are first among Pac-12 foes in dps, second in opponent hitting and aps and third in kps. Formico is third in dps, while junior Reily Buechler is ninth in both kps (3.37) and points per set (3.83). Junior Ryann Chandler is fifth in aps (8.88) and seniors Claire Felix (.361) and Jennie Frager (.358) are eighth and ninth, respectively, in hitting percentage.

SCOUTING THE OREGON DUCKS
Oregon (12-3, 5-1 Pac-12) had an 11-match winning streak snapped at home against #8 Washington last Friday, but rebounded with a sweep of #10 Washington State on Sunday. The Ducks are hitting .306 as a team, averaging 14.51 kills, 1.24 service aces, 15.69 digs and 2.24 blocks per set. Five players are posting at least 2.00 kps, led by sophomore Lindsey Vander Weide's 3.14. Vander Weide is also first with 18 aces and second with 3.35 dps. Freshman Jolie Rasmussen is second with 2.69 kps, while junior Taylor Agost is third (2.62 kps). Junior Maggie Scott (6.92 assists per set) and sophomore August Raskie (5.27) share the setting duties. Senior Amanda Benson is tops on the squad with 5.02 dps, while freshman Ronika Stone is first with 1.23 bps. 

THE MATCHUP: BRUINS VS. DUCKS
UCLA leads the all-time series against Oregon 53-11. In 2014, each home team won, but last season, the visitors spoiled the party, as the Bruins won in four in Eugene (Oct. 23), while Oregon claimed a five-setter at UCLA (Nov. 12). The Bruins are 22-8 all-time in Eugene.

SCOUTING THE OREGON STATE BEAVERS
Oregon State (8-9, 1-5 Pac-12) has dropped five of six after losing at home in four sets to both #10 Washington State and #8 Washington last weekend. The Beavers are hitting .211 as a team, averaging 12.93 kills, 1.05 aces, 15.00 digs and 2.24 blocks per set. Junior Mary-Kate Marshall leads the squad with 4.21 kps and 13 aces, redshirt sophomore Lanesha Reagan is second at 3.60 kps and senior Lila Toner is third with 2.24 kps. Redshirt sophomore McKenna Hollingsworth handles the setting and is posting 9.63 assists per set. Sophomore Kayla Ellis is tops in dps (4.15), while redshirt sophomore Kory Cheshire is first with 0.93 bps. 

THE MATCHUP: BRUINS VS. BEAVERS
UCLA holds a 57-3 all-time lead against Oregon State and has won 16 in a row. However, in each of the last two seasons, the Beavers have taken the Bruins to five sets (at UCLA in 2014, at OSU in 2015). The Bruins are 28-1 all-time in Corvallis (only loss in 2001 in four sets). Oregon State's most recent victory versus UCLA was a five-set triumph in Westwood in 2007.
