Jenkins Named to Academic All-District Team

UCLA senior forward Darian Jenkins was named to the 2016 Academic All-District Women's Soccer Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Jenkins advances to the Academic All-America Team ballot, where All-America honorees will be selected next month.
Jenkins, who hails from Riverton, Utah, has earned a 3.42 GPA in American Literature & Culture and is on track to graduate early after the fall quarter. UCLA's team co-captain was having her finest season to date with seven goals, five of which were game-winning goals, and 17 points until she sustained a broken leg in a game at Oregon on Oct. 2. Jenkins is a nominee for the Senior CLASS Award and is a two-time Pac-12 All-Academic honoree and seven-time member of the UCLA Director's Honor Roll. As a freshman, she earned NSCAA third-team All-America honors after leading UCLA's NCAA championship squad in scoring with 11 goals and 27 points. She was also named the 2013 Pac-12 Freshman of the Year.
