UCLA Faces Colorado on Thursday Night

LOS ANGELES - UCLA (3-5,1-4) has a Thursday night date at No. 21 AP/20 Coaches Colorado (6-2, 4-1) on November 3 in a game which kicks off at 6 p.m. PT/ 7 p.m. MT.ย The contest will be televised by FS1 and announcing the game will be Joe Davis, Brady Quinn and Jenny Taft. The Bruin IMG Radio Network (Josh Lewin, Matt Stevens, Wayne Cook) will radio broadcast the contest on am570. The contest will also be aired over Sirius 108/XM 198 (internet 960), uclabruins.com and tunein.com, and the TuneIn App.
VERSUS COLORADO - UCLA leads the series with Colorado by a 9-2 count. The Bruins have won all five meetings since the Buffs joined the Pac-12 Conference in 2011.
Last year in the Rose Bowl, Colorado ran 114 plays from scrimmage, including a 40-4 edge in plays during the second quarter, and held the ball for more than 41 minutes, but the Bruins came away with a 35-31 win. Soso Jamabo ran for the deciding score midway through the fourth quarter. Josh Rosen passed for 262 yards and a touchdown pass. The Bruins endured an 18-0 scoring run by Colorado in the second half after building an 21-6 lead at the intermission. CU went ahead 31-28 after scoring on a fumble return and a short run in the first four minutes of the fourth quarter, setting the stage for Jamabo's score. A late interception by Nate Meadors ended CU's hopes of a final comeback.
On the last trip to Boulder in 2014, UCLA needed a Brett Hundley touchdown dash in the second overtime to hold off the Buffaloes, 40-37. The Bruins scored the first 17 points in the contest only to see CU tally the last 17 points in regulation to tie the score at 31-all. Paul Perkins' 92-yard run, tied for the second-longest run in school history, opened the game's scoring. UCLA led 31-14 to begin the fourth quarter before the Buffs battled back to even the score on a field goal in the final minute of regulation.

Last season, in back-to-back weeks, the Bruins took the field at Stanford (loss) and in the Rose Bowl versus California (win).ย In 2014, on Thursday night at Arizona State, the Bruins bested the Sun Devils and on Friday of Thanksgiving week, at home, in the Rose Bowl against Stanford, the Cardinal dropped the Bruins.
In 2013, the Bruins won at Utah on a Thursday night and at home versus Washington on a Friday night. The last time UCLA had previously played a Friday game during the regular season was in 2011 at Arizona State. The most recent previous home game to have been played on Friday had been against Arizona on Oct. 27, 1978.
In 2012, UCLA opened the season with a win at Rice on a Thursday evening. In 2011, it played at Arizona on a Thursday evening. In the 2010 season, the Bruins played three non-Saturday games - Oct. 21 at Oregon, Nov. 18 at Washington and Nov. 26 at Arizona State.
Prior to 2010, the last time the Bruins played a regular-season non-Saturday game was Friday, Nov. 28, 2008 at Arizona State, dropping a 34-9 decision.
