Memorable Moments: Lauren Kaskie

November 17, 2016 | Women's Soccer

Lauren Kaskie's freshman year was full of memorable moments. Making a penalty shot in the shootout in the NCAA semifinals to help the Bruins advance to the championship match. Winning UCLA's first-ever NCAA women's soccer championship. And the moment that kickstarted UCLA's championship run - the Bruins' double overtime victory at Stanford.

Kaskie, then a freshman, scored the game-winning goal in that game at Stanford in October of 2013. It was the first goal of her collegiate career, and it gave UCLA its first win over Stanford since 2007. The Bruins went on to beat Stanford again in the NCAA Round of 16 and won the NCAA title, UCLA's record 110th NCAA Championship.
