PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. - Bruin alum Scott McCarron continued his stellar 2016 campaign, winning last weekend's TaylorMade Pebble Beach Invitational after a birdie on the 18th hole at Pebble Beach Golf Links. McCarron shot a four-round total of 10-under 278, shooting an opening-round 68 at The Links of Spanish Bay, a second-round 72 at the Spyglass Hill Golf Course, a third-round 70 at Pebble Beach and a final-round 68 on Sunday.

The 81-player field consisted of golfers from the PGA Tour, the LPGA Tour, the PGA Tour Champions, the Web.com Tour, the Mackenzie Tour, the PGA Latino America Tour and club professionals.

McCarron won twice this season on the PGA Tour Champions, finishing fifth in the Schwab Cup Playoff standings. In 24 events, he also had a pair of second-place showings and eight top 10's, cashing in 23 of 24 events.
