Bruins win 10 of 16 events in Saturday's Pac-12 showdown with Arizona State.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The UCLA women's swimming and diving teams completed the sweep of the Arizona schools on Saturday when they topped Arizona State, 162-131.  With the commanding win, the Bruins improve to 7-1 overall and 3-1 in Pac-12 competition.

Starting the meet off with a victory, the Bruin quartet of Linnea Mack, Sarah Kaunitz, Katie Grover, and Caroline McTaggart posted the top time in the 200 Medley Relay (1:42.00).  The UCLA B squad finished third with a 1:44.48.

The Bruins continued the streak by taking the first three individual events as well.  Katy Campbell nabbed the Bruins' first individual win of the meet.  The redshirt senior swam a season-best 10:06.13 to finish first ahead of fellow Bruin Margaux Verger Gourson (10:07.60).  Next up, Kenisha Liu completed the sweep of the 200 Free over the Arizona schools.  The freshman swam a season-best 1:49.17 in the event.  Senior Madison White then recorded the top time in the 100 Back (54.78).
Continuing the Bruin freshmen dominance over the Arizona schools, Amy Okada won both the 100 and 200 Fly on Saturday.  After winning the 200 Fly on Friday, Okada posted a season-best 1:59.86 against the Wildcats to finish ahead of Grover, who clocked in at 2:01.69.  The freshman later took the 100 Fly with a 54.92.  Grover placed second with a 56.03.

The Bruins went 1-2 in the 500 Free for the second time in as many days.  After Michaela Merlihan and Campbell placed first and second, respectively, on Friday, the Bruins switched spots on Saturday against Arizona.  Campbell swam the top time of 4:55.68, finishing just ahead of Merlihan at 4:55.72.

On the boards, the Bruins went 1-2-3 in the 1-meter event.  Once again, Eloise Belanger posted the top score (304.43).  Ciara Monahan and Annika Lenz placed second and third, respectively.  Belanger and Lenz also went 1-2 in the 3-meter on Saturday.  Belanger scored a 321.38 to finish ahead of Lenz at 306.23.
Closing out the meet with the 400 Free Relay, the Bruin quartet of White, Mack, McTaggart, and Liu recorded the fastest time (3:21.90) in an exhibition swim.
Next up, the Bruins hit the invitational circuit.  UCLA diving heads across town for the Trojan Diving Invite, to be held No. 11-13, while the swimmers head to the A-3 Performance Invite in Monterey Park, Calif., to be held Nov. 17-19.
