UCLA, along with Kentucky, North Carolina and Ohio State, will continue to compete in the CBS Sports Classic college basketball showcase, which has been renewed for the next three years.
 
The Bruins will face Kentucky in the 2017 event, slated to take place in New Orleans at the Smoothie King Center on Saturday, Dec. 23. Ohio State will face North Carolina in next season's event. The CBS Sports Classic began in Dec. 2014 at Chicago's United Center and was hosted at the Barclays Center in Dec. 2015.
 
Dates and locations for the 2018 and 2019 CBS Sports Classic doubleheaders will be announced at a later date. Over the duration of the extension, the programs will face each other in a round-robin format. Games in 2018 will include Kentucky-North Carolina and UCLA-Ohio State, while contests in 2019 will feature North Carolina-UCLA and Ohio State-Kentucky. All games will be televised by CBS Sports.
 
Now in its third edition, the 2016 CBS Sports Classic will take place this Saturday, Dec. 17, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. UCLA will face Ohio State at 12 p.m. (PT), while Kentucky and North Carolina are scheduled to take the floor at 2:30 p.m. (PT). Brad Nessler and Bill Raftery will have the call of both games from Las Vegas, with John Schriffen serving as the sideline reporter. UCLA will return to T-Mobile Arena in March 2017 for the Pac-12 Tournament.
 
With next season's game in the CBS Sports Classic, UCLA will be facing Kentucky for the fourth consecutive season. The two schools faced each other in the 2014 CBS Sports Classic in Chicago before entertaining a home-and-home series in Dec. 2015 (Pauley Pavilion) and Dec. 2016 (Rupp Arena).
 
UCLA, Kentucky, North Carolina and Ohio State have won 25 NCAA Championships and made 175 NCAA Tournament appearances. Since 2006, each team has appeared in at least two Final Fours, while each of the four programs has competed in at least one national championship game.
