UCLA Voted Preseason Pac-12 Gymnastics Favorite

Defending Pac-12 gymnastics champion UCLA has been voted the preseason favorite to win the 2017 conference title. The Bruins received five of eight first-place votes in the coaches poll and 47 points overall.
UCLA also received five first-place votes in the national preseason coaches poll and wasย voted No. 4 overall after a Top 5 national finish in 2016.
This is the first time since 2014 that UCLA has claimed the top spot in the preseason Pac-12 coaches poll. The Bruins were also selected No. 1 in 2012 and 2013.
Receiving the other three first-place votes in this year's preseason poll was Utah, who received 45 total points. Stanford finished in third place in the poll with 33 points, followed by California (32), Oregon State (25), Arizona (22), Washington (13) and Arizona State (7).
Seven of the eight Pac-12 teams are ranked in the Top 20 nationally heading into the 2017 season โ No. 4 UCLA, No. 6 Utah, No. 10 California, No. 11 Stanford, No. 13 Oregon State, No. 18 Arizona and No. 20 Washington.
