LOS ANGELES – Sophomore guard Aaron Holiday of the men's basketball team has been voted the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive week.
 
Holiday, a 6-foot-1 guard from Chatsworth, Calif., finished with 16 points and seven assists in UCLA's only game last week, an 82-68 victory over Western Michigan to complete the team's non-conference schedule.
 
Through UCLA's 13 non-conference games, Holiday has averaged 14.5 points, 2.9 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game. The former standout at Campbell Hall High School has shot 55.4 percent from the field and 51.0 percent from three-point range. Holiday leads all Pac-12 players in three-point field goal percentage, through games played Dec. 25.
 
The weekly award is chosen by fans on Twitter via @UCLAAthletics. Other nominees for this week's award were Bryce Alford (men's basketball) and Jordin Canada (women's basketball).
 
Ranked No. 2 in both national polls (AP, USA Today Coaches), the Bruins return to action at No. 21 Oregon (11-2) on Wednesday evening. Game time is 6 p.m. UCLA's game at Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene, Ore., will be nationally televised on ESPN2 with Roxy Bernstein and Bill Walton calling the action.
