
No. 12 UCLA Falls at No. 7 Oregon St.

CORVALLIS, Ore. -- Nirra Fields scored 20 points, her 35th career 20-point game, but No. 12 UCLA fell 64-54 at No. 7 Oregon State (24-3, 15-1) on Sunday night at Gill Coliseum.
UCLA (20-7, 12-4) jumped out to a 12-5 lead with four points each from Monique Billings, Lajahna Drummer and Jordin Canada. Oregon State went on a 6-0 run to cut it to 12-11 on a layup by Sydney Wiese with 0:30 remaining. But Canada drew a foul and sank a pair of free throws to end the scoring in the first with UCLA leading 14-11.
UCLA led 25-23 on a jumper by Billings with 3:32 to go in the second. But Jamie Weisner hit back-to-back threes and Wiese added one later to give OSU a 32-27 advantage (1:16). After a pair of free throws by Weisner pushed the lead to 34-27 (0:29), Nirra Fields split the Beaver defense for a layup (0:02) to close the gap to 34-29 by the break.
The Bruins opened the third quarter with a three-minute scoring drought as Oregon State pushed the lead to nine (40-31) on a layup by Ruth Hamblin (6:11). After a layup by Fields, OSU went on a mini 7-0, capped by a traditional three-point play by Wiese, to lead 47-33 (3:31). The Bruins would not get closer than eight points the rest of the game.
Canada scored 15 points, but had a season-low one assist. Monique Billings contributed 10 points and seven rebounds for the Bruins.
The Beavers only had three players score major points, but all three had monster games. Weisner led OSU with 25 points and 14 rebounds. Hamblin also had a double-double with 16 points and 15 boards and added six blocks. Wiese finished with 21 points. Only one other Beaver scored. Deven Hunter had two points.

Her 35th career 20-point game tied Michelle Greco (1999-03) for 7th all-time in UCLA history. ... UCLA split the season series with Oregon State due to its 71-51 win over the Beavers in Los Angeles on Jan. 4, 2016.
Oregon State: Has won 14 games in a row with its only loss in Pac-12 play coming at the hands of the Bruins. ... The Oregon State bench was scoreless. ... Held UCLA to a season-low 54 points. Committed 18 turnovers, compared to 13 for UCLA, but outscored the Bruins 13-9 in points off turnovers.
