
Bruins Remain T-6 at The Hayt

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. - Senior Jonathan Garrick fired a 1-under 71 and freshman Cole Madey posted an even-par 72, as the Bruins remained in a tie for sixth after two rounds of The Hayt at Sawgrass Country Club.
The Bruins as a team shot an 8-over 296, seven shots better than Friday. Garrick had three birdies on the day on the seventh, eighth and 18th to go with two bogeys. He is tied for 28th overall at +6 (150). Madey moved inside the Top 10 and is T-9 (+3, 147) after 36 holes. On Saturday, he birdied the eighth hole and then made three birdies on the back side (#12, #14 and #17) to counter his four bogeys on the front side.
Sophomore Corey Shaun shot a 2-over 74 on Saturday and is tied for 46th at +10 (154). He had an up and down round, making an eagle on the 11th and birdies on the third, eighth, 14th and 18th to go with two bogeys and two triple bogeys. Senior Lorens Chan fell to T-38 (+9, 153) in the standings after a second-round 79 (+7). He recorded three birdies on the eighth, 10th and 11th to go with six bogeys and two doubles. Freshman Phil Delisi shot a non-team scoring +9 (81) and is T-60 (+12, 156). He had seven bogeys and a double.
The Bruins will be the first group off the first tee on Sunday at 7:30 a.m. ET/4:30 a.m. PT in the order of Delisi, Shaun, Chan, Garrick and Madey. Live scoring will be available here.
