UCLA Rowing Set for Pac-12 Challenge

LOS ANGELES - The UCLA women's rowing team heads to compete at the Pac-12 Challenge in Redwood City, Calif., on Saturday, March 26.

After having secured consecutive dual-meet wins against San Diego State (March 5) and Loyola Marymount (March 12) to open the spring season, UCLA will race against No. 2 California and No. 20 Duke in morning and afternoon races this Saturday.

The Bruins are scheduled to race four boats in each of Saturday's morning and afternoon sessions at the Redwood Shores Lagoon. UCLA will open its competition with the varsity eight race against Duke at 9:10 am. The second varsity eight will take on Duke at 9:30 a.m., followed by the varsity four crew at 9:50. UCLA's second varsity four will race against California at 10:10 a.m., concluding the Bruins' portion of morning races.

UCLA will resume competition with the varsity eight crew racing against California at 3:10 p.m. The Bruins' subsequent races that afternoon – all versus California – will include the second varsity eight at 3:30 p.m., the varsity four at 3:50 p.m. and the second varsity four at 4:10 p.m.

This weekend's Pac-12 Challenge will be hosted by Stanford University at the Redwood Shores Lagoon, located in Redwood City, Calif. (information regarding directions available here).
