No. 20 UCLA Steamrolls Colorado, 6-1

BOULDER, Colo. – The No. 20 UCLA women's tennis team coasted to a 6-1 victory over Colorado on Friday afternoon at the Rocky Mountain Tennis Center. With the win, the Bruins improve to 12-4 overall and 4-1 in Pac-12 play.
UCLA made quick work of Colorado in doubles, clinching the point on courts 2 and 3. Kyle McPhillips and Terri Fleming struck first for the Bruins, downing Annabelle Andrinopoulos and Kyra Wojcik, 6-1. Alaina Miller and Maia Magill secured the doubles point on court 3 when they defeated Alex Aiello and Brigitte Beck, 6-2.
The Bruins carried this momentum into singles play, rattling off three straight wins to take the match. No. 18 Catherine Harrison extended the lead to 2-0 on court 1 when she took down No. 74 Nuria Ormeño Ruiz in straights. Fleming followed suit, registering a straight-set win of her own on court 3. McPhillips sealed the deal for the Bruins on court 2 when she edged the Buffs' Jeannez Daniel, 6-2, 7-5.
The remaining matches played out at the bottom of the lineup. Miller downed Aiello in straights while Kristin Wiley fell to Wojcik, 10-3, in a super tiebreaker. Last to finish, Laura Luca recorded her second win of the season on court 6 when she downed Beck in straight sets.
