UCLA Seeded 4th in NCAA Championship

INDIANAPOLIS -- Fourth-ranked UCLA (19-6) has earned a No. 4 seed to the inaugural 2016 National Collegiate Beach Volleyball Championship as announced by the NCAA Women's Beach Volleyball Committee tonight.
The eight-team field was selected from the 60 NCAA institutions sponsoring the sport of beach volleyball.
Three teams were selected from the east region and three teams were selected from the west region. The remaining two teams were selected at-large from the teams across the country. All eight teams were then seeded.
The finalist selected from the east region include, Florida State, Georgia State and Stetson. Pepperdine, USC and UCLA made up the west region selections; while Arizona and Hawai'i were granted at-large bids.
Florida State (29-1) earned the No. 1 seed, followed by the west region securing the next three seeds with No. 2 USC (30-2), No. 3 Pepperdine (19-3) and No. 4 UCLA (19-6). At-large selections Hawai'i (16-8) and Arizona (19-5) earned the No. 5, and No. 6 spots, followed by east region selections No. 7 Georgia State (25-8) and No. 8 Stetson (26-7).
The championship will be held Friday through Sunday, May 6-8, in Gulf Shores, Ala., hosted by the city of Gulf Shores, University of Alabama at Birmingham and Orange Beach Sports Commission. The event will be televised live by Turner networks, with truTV providing live coverage on Friday, May 6, and Saturday, May 7, from 3-6 p.m. ET and the championship round airing on TBS on Sunday, May 8, at 2 p.m. Addional Live streaming coverage of every court in each match of the tournament will be available on NCAA.com.
The Bruins will open play on Friday, May 6 vs. fifth-seeded Hawai'i at 10:00 a.m. CT/8:00 a.m. PT in the second match of the day. UCLA will face either No. 1 Florida State or No. 8 Stetson on Friday as well, either in the winner's bracket at 3:00 p.m. CT/1:00 p.m. PT or the contender's bracket at 1:00 p.m. CT/11:00 a.m. PT.
Turner networks will televise the event, with truTV providing live coverage on Friday and Saturday from 2:00-5:00 p.m. CT/12:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. PT and the championship round airing on TBS on Sunday, May 8, at 1:00 p.m. CT/11:00 a.m. PT.
Live streaming coverage of every court in each match of the tournament will be available on NCAA.com. In addition, the full television broadcast will be available on Turner's TV Everywhere platforms including the Watch TBS and Watch truTV apps.
