Seven UCLA Rowers Earn Academic Honors

Seven UCLA rowers have captured Pac-12 All-Academic Team honors, as announced Friday by the conference office.
Senior Alice White and sophomores Jasmine English and Lizette Lopez were each named first-team selections, while senior Logan Warwick was honored as a second-team selection. Sophomores Sierra Bronkhorst, Mikayla Hart and KC Yeagley were recognized as honorable mention selections.
White has earned Pac-12 All-Academic Team honors for the third consecutive season (freshmen are not eligible). She was a second-team selection as a sophomore in 2013 before earning first-team honors as a junior in 2014.
Warwick has secured second-team accolades for the second straight year after having been recognized as an honorable mention selection during her sophomore season in 2013.
White, Warwick and Bronkhorst primarily competed in the Bruins' varsity eight crew during the 2016 season. English rowed five seat in the second varsity eight, while Hart competed in the Bruins' second and third varsity eight boats. Yeagley rowed in the second varsity eight and varsity four crews, while Lopez primarily rowed in the third varsity eight.
