Sataraka Named Student-Athlete of Week

Senior Mysha Sataraka (Honolulu, Hawai'i) of the UCLA softball team was named the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for May 30-June 5.
Sataraka drove in all seven runs for the Bruins at last week's Women's College World Series. Last Thursday versus Auburn, the senior was 2-for-3, which included a majestic, three-run homer. After back-to-back, leadoff hits in the fourth inning, Sataraka hit a moon shot over the left-field fair pole for her 14th home run of the season. Two days later against Florida State, she had the bases loaded in the bottom of the first when she hit the first grand slam of her career and her 15th homer of the year to dead center. Sataraka finished second on the team with 15 homers and 59 RBI and third with a .380 batting average.
This is Sataraka's second UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season (Feb. 17) and fourth of her career.
