Braheme Days and Zack Bornstein reach the podium
SAN SALVADOR, El Salvador โ A pair of Bruins reached the podium at the NACAC U23 Championships this past weekend.
UCLA All-American Braheme Days won the shot put competition with a throw of 63-6.25 (19.36m). Days uncorked the winning mark on his third attempt. The Bridgeton, N.J., native is coming off a fifth place finish at the 2016 NCAA Championships.
Zack Bornstein, competing for Canada placed third in the decathlon with a score of 7,169 points. He paced the field in the shot put with a throw of 45-7 and posted the second best mark in the discus at 148-7.
