Freshman Madison Kocian of the UCLA gymnastics team was voted the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for Feb. 6-12.
Kocian scored her first career perfect 10 on the uneven bars as UCLA posted the highest team score in the nation, 198.125, in a nearly four-point victory over Stanford on Saturday. Kocian also won the floor exercise for the second-straight meet with a career-high-tying 9.95 and was the all-around champion for the fourth time in five meets, scoring 39.525. Kocian's scores helped UCLA post its highest team total since the 2014 NCAA Championships, and she contributed to season-high team totals on vault (49.5), uneven bars (49.725, the third-highest total in school history), and floor exercise (49.475).
This is Kocian's second UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and of her career.
