UCLA senior Hallie Mossett was named the Pac-12 Specialist of the Week after her 9.975 performance on floor exercise in the Bruins' dual meet win over Arizona Feb. 25.
Mossett brought the house down in Pauley Pavilion with her floor exercise routine to a Beyoncé medley, sticking both her whip to double-back opening pass and her double pike dismount. She just missed out on a perfect 10, earning a 10.0 from one judge and a 9.95 from the other. Her 9.975 was a career-high, good for first-place, and helped the Bruins achieve a season-high floor score of 49.625. Mossett also competed on balance beam and scored 9.825. She has scored 9.8 or better on every routine she has competed this year.
This is Mossett's fourth Pac-12 weekly honor of her career. She previously earned Specialist of the Week honors in 2016 and was twice the Pac-12 Freshman of the Week in 2014.
Utah's MyKayla Skinner earned Gymnast and Freshman of the Week honors.
