UCLA freshman Jada Hart (Colton, Calif./Riverside Virtual School) was named the Pac-12 Player of the Week today as announced by the league.
Hart had a hand in three of four clinching points for the Bruins, who swept Colorado (April 7) and Utah (April 8) at Sunset Canyon Tennis Courts. Since the redshirt freshman joined forces with Terri Fleming, the pair has recorded seven consecutive doubles victories in dual-match play and sits at 11-0 overall. Each of the duo's two latest Court 1 wins came in a clinching fashion, as they knocked off Louise Ronaldson and Chloe Hule of Colorado (6-3) and Margo Pletcher and Taylor Calton of Utah (6-3). For good measure, Hart topped the Buffaloes' Annabelle Andrinopoulos, 6-2, 6-1, to clinch the overall decision on Court 3, in the first of two Bruin wins on the week.
This is the Bruins' 19th all-time weekly honor and the second of Hart's career.
