LOS ANGELES - The ninth-ranked Bruins were unable to pull off a sweep of #1 Oregon on Sunday, dropping the series finale by a score of 11-4. 

UCLA (28-10, 4-5 Pac-12) had nine hits from six different players, as junior Madeline Jelenicki, sophomore Zoe Shaw and redshirt freshman Rachel Garcia each posted two-hit contests. In the circle, Garcia (12-5) struck out two in 2 2/3 innings, giving up six runs (three earned), five hits and two walks. Junior Selina Ta'amilo fanned two in 3 1/3 frames of relief, allowing four runs (two earned), four hits and three walks. Redshirt senior Paige McDuffee struck out one in one-plus inning of relief, giving up a run and two hits.

Oregon (36-2, 9-2) jumped on the Bruins with a six-spot in the third thanks to a two-run double by Nikki Udria, an RBI single by Mia Camuso and a three-run homer from Madi Bishop. 

The Bruins strung together three consecutive doubles to open the fourth, as sophomore Brianna Tautalafua scored on a two-bagger by Jelenicki, who came home on a double by Garcia to cut the deficit to 6-2.

Oregon got those runs back plus another with three in the fifth, scoring a pair on errors and another on a fielder's choice grounder. In the seventh, a two-run homer by Udria extended the Ducks' lead to 11-2.

The Bruins rallied with a pair in their half of the seventh, as junior Kylee Perez drove in senior Gabrielle Maurice and Shaw on a two-out single up the middle to make it 11-4, which would be the final score.

UCLA has a quick turnaround with a Thursday-Saturday series in Corvallis next weekend against Oregon State (Thursday at 2 p.m., Friday at 3 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m.).
